Founder: Katy Anís

Katy Anís is committed to building human capacity across the lifespan, with a specialization at the nexus of childhood, movement of capital, & holistic human development and extensive experience with programming for children, youth and adults in adversity. Over the last 33 years, Katy Anis has traveled, lived, or worked across 45 countries and provided technical assistance/oversight to over 93 projects. She has extensive experience across Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe, in both humanitarian and development contexts. Over her career, she has managed a total of $24 million USD in development funds and has raised $10.5 million USD in new funding for projects. In philanthropy, she has issued funding for 22 grants and initiatives and managed an additional 40 grants. Katy Anis has led four international development projects from start to finish. She brings strong history in funding, through philanthropy, bilateral & multilateral donors, and venture capital. She brings a versatile perspective, having provided technical services to foundations, private sector, multilateral institutions, bilateral donors, governments, non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, inter-agency bodies, faith-based entities and grassroots community-based organizations. She is adept at convening diverse thought leaders around common goals. She has founded Coalescence Advisory Services, Chashmaye Nur Foundation and is a founding General Partner with Mercury Innovation Ventures.

In terms of preparation, Ms. Anis has an M.A. in International Training & Education/ Development Management from American University and a  B.A. with honors in  Socio-cultural Anthropology & Second Language Acquisition from University of California-Santa Cruz. She has a certificate in Impact Investing from Oxford University Said Business School, a certificate in Venture Capital from the VC Lab Accelerator at Founder Institute, and a certificate in Aligning Investments with Faith Values from Faith Invest.  She also has certificates in Early Learning, Development & School Readiness Assessment Instruments from School Readiness Assessment, in Early Child Development from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, Oral Language in Children from Harvard University as well as a teaching certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
